Caractéristques : la plant vie en Massachusetts, Maine, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, Connecticut, Vermont  mais aussi partout où il y a un habitat terrestre et des marécages.

Le Pin Blanc Oriental a la distinction d'être l'arbre le plus grand en Amérique du Nord orientale; il est rapporté pour être devenu aussi grand que 70 m et les volumes de tronc(coffre) totaux des plus grands spécimens sont environ 28 m3

Fleurs : l'Espèce est monoecious; mâles cylindriques, jaunes, dans groupes près de bouts(d'astuces) de branche; femelles vert clair, teintées dans rouge, aux fins de branches.

The plant live in Massachusetts, Maine, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, Connecticut, Vermont but also wherever there is an habitat terrestrial and wetlands.

The Eastern White Pine has the distinction of being the tallest tree in eastern North America; it is reported to have grown as tall as 70 m and total trunk volumes of the largest specimens are approximately 28 m3

Flowers : Species is monoecious; males cylindrical, yellow, in clusters near branch tips; females light green, tinged in red, at ends of branches.

History: In the 19th century, the harvesting of Midwestern pine forests played a major role in America's westward expansion through the Great Plains. The species was imported in 1620 to England by Captain George Weymouth.Pine was also a favorite tree of loggers since pine logs can still be processed in a lumber mill a year or more after being cut down.

contemporary uses: Eastern white pine needles contain five times the amount of Vitamin C (by weight) of lemons and make an excellent herbal tea.

Anectodes:The Haudenosaunee Indians called it the “tree of peace.” White pines can grow to more than 180 feet tall. Their fine, flexible blue-green needles grow five to a bundle, forming large clusters that resemble giant fan brushes. 

Various American Indian tribes used different parts of the tree for medecin like if the a three thea caould treat all sickness.
